On May 14, the Bureau of Planning and Finance of the Chinese Academy of Sciences organized the acceptance meeting of the national major scientific research equipment "reproduce hypersonic flight conditions shock wave wind tunnel" development project in Huairou Park of the Institute of Mechanics. The acceptance meeting was chaired by Kong Li, Director of the Planning and Finance Bureau. The Director of the Acceptance Committee was chaired by Professor Deng Xueying of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. After careful consideration and thorough discussion, the acceptance committee agreed that the project is facing the national major scientific and technological projects and the basic research needs of the discipline. Using the reverse detonation drive method created by the Institute of Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, it further proposed shock tube suture operation and nozzle start , Shockwave interference weakening, high-pressure detonation drive, secondary wave motion and control, and other series of shockwave wind tunnel innovative technologies, successfully developed the world's first reproducible 25-40 km altitude, Mach number 5-9 flight conditions , The diameter of the nozzle outlet is Φ2.5 / Φ1.5m, the test gas is clean air, the test time exceeds 100ms, and the ultra-large hypersonic shock wave wind tunnel has overall performance at the international advanced level. The wind tunnel has also achieved four key technical indicators, including “reproduced total temperature and total pressure of airflowâ€, “produced pure test gasâ€, “meeting basic test time requirements†and “capable of full-scale or near-full-scale model testâ€. The reproducibility of the ground test of hypersonic vehicles is provided, which provides an irreplaceable test method for the key technology of China's major engineering projects and the basic research of high-temperature gas dynamics. The hypersonic shock wave tunnel developed by the project reached the predetermined technical indicators, and the key indicators such as incoming Mach number and test time exceeded the requirements of the implementation plan and completed the development task with high quality.
