Siegwerke Group will push new glazing ink in September this year

Converting Today learned at IPEX that the Siegwerke Group will launch a special common ink with a UV Varnish-Tempo Flash ink series this year. It belongs to the common four-color inks with the UV Varnish series. Four-color inks and UV coatings are currently undergoing Beta testing in Europe and are expected to be officially launched in September this year.

Robert Kinkead, director of sheetfed and offset printing at the Siegwerke Group's Ink Packaging Division, said that carton printing plants currently use UV inks and UV coatings, or water-based varnishes for common carton printing, using water. Base oils and common inks do not give good gloss, while the Tempo Flash printing and glossing carton proofs have good gloss, and all printer manufacturers are very interested.
