A few days ago, Jilin Petrochemical Research Institute successfully developed a new hydroxypolysiloxane technology that has reached the leading domestic level, and has completed the basic design and economic evaluation of a 5,000-ton/year plant with industrialization conditions.

Hydroxypolysiloxane is one of the important products in the silicone industry and is widely used in construction, coatings, arts and crafts and other fields. In recent years, with the rapid development of the construction industry, the market demand for silicone rubber products has been increasing, and hydroxypolysiloxane, which is the main raw material for building sealants, is currently widely used in domestic production by batch degradation, and the production capacity of single sets of devices. Low, poor repeatability of the viscosity, product quality is not high, most of the required products rely on imports. Therefore, the development of large-scale, high-quality, continuous industrial production of hydroxypolysiloxane technology has become an important issue in China's organic silicon industry.

Jilin Petrochemical Research Institute adopted a new type of catalyst and a new process to carry out continuous tests of pilot and pilot plant. Tests have shown that this route achieves quantitative control of product viscosity, a more uniform molecular weight distribution and higher production capacity, which can fully meet the domestic demand for high-quality hydroxypolysiloxanes and provide new technologies for deep processing of silicone products. .
