2 Evaluation of Degradation Performance of Vacuum Aluminized Paper

Vacuum aluminum-plated paper has lower production costs than composite aluminum foil cards and coated paperboards, and it is clean and environmentally-friendly. It has gradually been favored by product packaging manufacturers and users. In order to better explain the degradation performance of vacuum aluminum-coated paper, the degradation performance of vacuum aluminum-coated paper and composite aluminum foil paper is compared and analyzed.

2.1 sample preparation

The samples used in the experiment were based on vacuum aluminum coated paper and composite aluminum foil paper produced by a packaging material factory in Zhejiang.

2.2 Experimental Content and Evaluation Methods

2.2.1 Solubility Test in Alkaline Solutions

Table 2 The difference in the dissolution performance of aluminum foil layers under different alkali concentration conditions can be seen from Table 2. Under the same alkali concentration conditions, the time required for complete dissolution of the aluminum film of vacuum aluminum coating paper is much shorter than that of composite aluminum foil paper. . At 2% alkali concentration, the dissolution time of aluminized paper is 1/12 of aluminum foil. At 10% alkali concentration, the dissolution time of aluminized paper is about 1/4 of aluminum foil.

2.2.2 Degradability Test in Soil

Table 3 shows the difference in degradation rate of aluminum foil layer in soil. It can be seen from Table 3 that vacuum aluminum-coated paper is more easily degraded by microorganisms in the soil than composite aluminum foil paper, and the degradation products are easily absorbed by the soil.


3 Conclusion

3.1 Vacuum aluminum coated paper has the characteristics of low production cost, strong metal texture, excellent printing performance and mechanical Jm T performance.

3.2 Vacuum aluminum coated packaging paper is used as packaging paper. The time required for the aluminum foil to dissolve when it is recycled is shorter than that of composite aluminum foil paper.

3.3 Vacuum aluminum-plated paper is more easily biodegradable than composite aluminum foil and is easily absorbed by soil after discarding.
