Two new professional "paste boxes" with excellent performance

In recent years, the demand for traditional transportation packaging has been continuously increasing. At the same time, the demand for decorative packaging continues to keep growing. Businesses are now increasingly using sophisticated packaging and printing to better embody product content.

At Drupa, Bobst launched 12 new devices debuted in the world, including two new professional paste-box machines with advantages in the production of micro-tile packaging - Mistral and Fuego. Both machines can handle nearly all types of corrugated board processing, and their E, F, and N corrugated board processing capabilities are particularly prominent and are very attractive to display rack manufacturers.

Mistral can process 80-110mm cartons. This model is designed according to the highest standards of paste-boxes and incorporates the most advanced technology solutions to guarantee the quality of the paste box.

The pre-folding board length and folding device affect the folding quality and production efficiency of various types of paper boxes. Mistral's own attachments include 4-angle/6-angle module self-locking units that are mounted at a slant and universal folding units that are designed for special-shaped folding boxes. The entire machine is easy to operate, fully visible, and minimizes ready time; the ergonomic design allows the operator to use it more comfortably.

What makes Mistral special is the use of "Poly V" belts for transmission, minimizing noise and improving the working environment. In addition, Mistral's light aluminum paper feed section makes it easier for operators to operate the positioning system. The use of aluminum also ensures zero vibration in the machine and accurate flap delivery. The belt conveyor guide can be used to align the belt position at any time, so that the belt life can be extended. The Mistral feed and flap calibration device is suitable for the processing of various types of cardboard and corrugated cardboard. The module self-locking unit installed between the pre-folding section and the backfolding section can produce self-locking cartons without multiple pre-folding operations. A 4-corner/6-angle device mounted on a tilted position driven by a high-quality motor is directly connected to the CUBE to ensure high-speed, precise, consistent paste box processes and folding-back quality of the back cover. Thanks to the increased belt length, accurate, high-speed pre-folding and post-folding processes can be completed smoothly. 25mm upper belt, 43mm lower belt (in the lower left part of the prefolding part) can be prefolded directly on the belt and fully control the carton production. The carton mass tracking device and the fin-like glue dispenser attached to the CUBE can be matched to all the quality control device operating interfaces on the market today. Mistral can also process linear cartons on the belt at a processing speed of 400m/min with its attachment (Easyfeeder II, Batchiriverter, Cartonpack II or Handypack). After the pre-folding is completed, the self-locking carton can be produced at high speed. Thanks to the technologically innovative device, 25,000 quality stable 4- or 6-corner paper boxes can be processed per hour.

Fuego is suitable for processing paperboards of 50cm, 80cm and 110cm in three sizes. The paper feeding section is driven by an independent motor, which is convenient for the operator to adjust different specifications of the flap. Fuego also comes with many accessories, including: barometers, gauges with toothed chains, vacuum belts, electronic stacking vibrators and brushes for sweeping the belt. There are also some devices that can improve the efficiency of the pretreatment, including a 43mm belt conveyor at the bottom left, where the adhesive can be pretreated. (The lower and upper right conveyor belts can also be pre-treated.) The upper conveyor can be freely retracted and can be moved, which increases productivity and increases flexibility. The upper and lower conveyors located in the center can well control the production of shaped cartons and large cartons. A speed converter is installed in the rear folding part, and the swing cover position can be adjusted in parallel at any kind of speed. Depending on the longitudinal movement of the upper conveyor, alternating folding or synchronized folding can be performed. The upper and lower conveyors allow the production of large cartons.

The entire conveying process is independent and equipped with a separate transmission. The assembly is equipped with a CUBE carton production process control regulator, which features an automatic restart when the extended production process is stopped. In order to ensure the quality of the finished product, air pressure was applied at two places on the baffle. At the same time, there is an automatic control system and a central control system to ensure the continuity of the carton production line. There are also a series of special devices to ensure the squareness of the corrugated carton. The CUBE control system is suitable for many types of machines and is simple and efficient.

The four-corner/six-corner device mounted on the bracket can set the height of the hook according to the size of the required flap. Thanks to the electronic drive, this modular unit adjusts the clevis rail to accommodate the length of the flap. After the pre-folding step is completed, the automatic locking unit can complete the production of self-locking bottom boxes and multi-layer packaging. The quality control device guarantees the quality of the finished product and can detect any cartons that do not conform to the specifications (including bar codes, glue tracks and automatic spray guns).

Fuego can meet most of the production needs. There are two configurations to choose from: A1 (production straight box) A2 (produced self-locking straight box). Can process paperboards with sizes ranging from 50cm, 80cm or 110cm, with computer setting device (CS) or mechanical computer setting device (CSM).
